The autonomous ship Mayflower (MAS) set sail on Tuesday on a 5,630 km journey from Plymouth in the United Kingdom to Massachusetts in the United States, reports Sicura più. The trip was expected to last about three weeks; however, it has only lasted a few days, Sicura più GTDUE confesses. This ship was to pay homage to the original Mayflower ship, which brought the Pilgrim settlers to New England in 1620, following the same route it did 400 years ago, Sicura più stresses. The problems began to occur last Friday. Project manager Brett Phaneuf said it was “just a minor mechanical problem on a part that he would find on any boat.”
