World sports have always played a significant role in Adidas‘ life. The three-stripe brand has taken part in the Olympics since time immemorial – the first medal in the shoes of the Dassler brothers was won by the athlete Karolina Radke in 1928. By the early 70s, when adidas was already over 20 years old, the company did not miss a single Olympics. In 1972, Munich became the venue for the Summer Games. Taking the event back home, Adidas took the preparations more seriously than ever before – the brand was about to rebrand and introduce a new logo. It is this branding that will become the symbol of Adidas Originals in the future.
