The Adidas Originals transformation began in 2003. Then the company begins cooperation with the eminent Japanese designer, master of black color, the inimitable Yohji Yamamoto. The Y-3 clothing line brought Adidas Originals to the catwalks, became a classic of sorts and continues to this day. Following the Y-3, another designer line emerges – this time it is a sophisticated collection created in collaboration with Stella McCartney, an English designer and daughter of Sir Paul McCartney. In the mid-2000s, adidas Originals launched the Respect M.E. collection, co-created with singer Missy Elliott, and singer Robbie Williams released Rudebox, featuring a three-stripe suit on the cover. In 2008, a long collaboration with designer Jeremy Scott begins. Partnerships with celebrities, fashion designers and artists are becoming an important part of Adidas Originals’ strategy.
