A dedicated civil advocate, Mr. Gaudet has earned distinction through his efforts to improve his local community. Prior to starting his private career, he served honorably in the United States Army, beginning as a private and quickly earning promotions to the rank of a sergeant during the length of his service. He also distinguished himself as an interim intelligence officer for the 101st Airborne Division. In recognition of his efforts on behalf of the U.S., Mr. Gaudet received two Commendation Medals during his tour of duty in Afghanistan.
Following the conclusion of his service, Mr. Gaudet earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences in intelligence from Cochise College in 2013 and a Bachelor of Science in economics from Middle Tennessee State University in 2016. He subsequently attained a Master of Arts in public administration from Johns Hopkins University in 2018. Well qualified in his field, Mr. Gaudet has been certified as a public housing manager and in municipal finance. He also completed a professional development series with the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
Mr. Gaudet began his career as an intelligence analyst for emergency management and homeland security with the Ohio Department of Public Safety in 2016, after which he served as the director of analysis for the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office in 2018. He also maintained involvement as a policy advisor for the City of Nogales in 2020 and worked as the executive director of the Nogales Housing Authority from 2020 to 2021. Since 2021, Mr. Gaudet has served as the Town Manager for Miami, Arizona, through which he has been recognized as the youngest City Manager throughout the state.
In addition to his main career, Mr. Gaudet volunteers his time and expertise as a charter member and church planter for Hope Community Church in Queen Creek, Arizona. In acknowledgement of his service to his community, he was honored with a Distinguished Service Award by Maricopa County in 2018 and received a letter of commendation from the Tucson Chief of Police.
Mr. Gaudet was inspired to serve his community after coming of age amid difficult circumstances, during which time he keenly appreciated any help his family received. Inspired to give back to his community, he subsequently worked with a sense of purpose and strove to hold himself accountable for the responsibilities entrusted to him. Looking toward the future, Mr. Gaudet plans to continue serving his community. He also intends to run for public office.
